Job Hunting

My husband and I have decided that I will be back on my career track after 2 years nursing my dear baby. Since last 2 months I got a job here, although until now I am still waiting for the employment visa to be made in order to start. This job I got is basically the same job I had for 4 years, and I am not looking forward to do it, it is because this is the first job I can get after 2 years off work, so I was kind of underestimate myself that I would not be able to get the job I really want with the gap on my career track.

Since I am so not looking forward to take the other job that I got, I never stop to send out my resume for the position that I want. Luckily, yesterday I went for an interview for a coordinator job in a sales & marketing department for a pre-opening hotel, and I got it! I am so happy and excited to hear the news and I am so looking forward to join the team.

I always love to be in a pre-opening team, so that I would be able to express myself and do everything from the beginning without necessarily adjusting myself with a big existing community, which I found it harder for me to do. The team is consist of 3 persons now, the General Manager, Director of Sales & Marketing and the Director of Human Resources, and I am going to be the 4th person in team to join. The Sales & Marketing team will have 8 members that is including me and the director, a very strong yet sweet lady. The hotel itself is a Spain hotel chain and going to be the first to open in middle east and going to be the pilot project, so there will be a lot of demands from the management to make this company a successful one.

My concern now is the visa, which is in the middle of the process with the first company. Although I have made up my mind that I will back out from there and take the new offer. My plan is I will wait for the visa to be done and join them, then I will give them a resignation letter as soon as I join.
It will not look good, but my new offer is definitely a progress for my career and I will not let it go.

I get a full support from my husband, and that is enough for me to feel secure with the decision. We wish for the best for both of us.. and for our baby's future too..
